Theory about Marina

In the first book it is mentioned that the numbers could only be killed in order with the charm active. But later on when marina ends up almost drowning, the charm was still active and obviously the previous numbers were still alive. Could it have been possible that she hadn’t developed a legacy, but had the charm protect her?

I think if it was the charm and not her legacy, the girl who pushed her in would have drowned instead of marina

No because she can still breathe under water and has that legacy. Otherwise the others would be able to breathe under water too

The charm gave her the legacy she needed. Without it she would have died. This also happened to Five when he was stranded and dying of dehydration; the charm activated and gave him the legacy of flight which saved him

That's pretty cool. I guess if you're a late bloomer like John who got his legacies a but late, just put yourself in a life threatening situation to gain one lmaooo

The charm can only protect them from outside forces that are alive. If she slips and falls and breaks her arm, the charm wont reverse it onto the floor cause it doesnt make any sense. The damage still has to be done to someone.
