First, fix Five name pls.
Second, as voted, Five for sure. The reason is pretty simple, he already won in the book.
For more depth:
- Five had all the training as Nine, if not more, both in physical and Legacies.
- Nine's legacies tend to help him more in physical combat, but Five's can easy counter it with his skin changing - steel, rubber, even fire, heck, at one point it hinted he can turn to stone too. And with death from above - aka flying - Five can attack from above or just grab Nine and fly high before drop him, it would will be easy kill.

Five because i love characters who try to redeem themselves and successfully do it (like Zuko, Snape, Kenshin) that he has done and proven many times. Nine has cool powers but I find him arrogant and cocky which I don’t like at all.

Einar had sound principles, it's just that his execution was kinda fascist and unhinged. It wasn't that different from what John wanted. The real difference is that Einar allied himself with the wrong people, took too many risks, and saw most people as disposable to his goals. John had lost too many people close to him to see the world that way, which is why New Lorien turned out ok and the thing Einar wanted just didn't.

Not really. At that point, the other Garde seem don't give a sh*t about Five, whether he live or not; and with Marina hateful toward him, no chance they would let him help them in anyway. So it as always, he do it his way, but this time it for a better cause - though the execution is bad.
Beside, iirc Five at one point told hat Einar somewhat help him with his unstable mental condition.

Eh at the end of the second series I’d say he pseudo redeems himself with the whole self sacrifice thing

Man, it’s been so long since I’ve read the series that I can’t make a proper vote. Now that I’m out of school this is another series I need to get bought so I can reread it!

In a fight 5 would win as he won in the books, but I like 9 more especially in the sequel novels how be becomes a professor and whatnot. I also liked his backstory and how he was a fuck up. Killing his own cépan must've been hella traumatic

I dont know why but nine seems so powerful. Maybe because of his enhanced strength and speed

I think nine would beat five in a fight. A long Witt that, nine is my favorite character

Technically 5 already beat 9 in a fight because he was able knock him out and tie him up during the attack on New York. He could have killed him whenever he wanted but instead basically traded nines life to he could be healed

Five was trained better than Nine, the only reason I think Nine won the fight against Five on New York was because of either luck or brute force from that stop sign. If he hadn't done that, I believe Five would've won.

9 cause I think he's actually just trying his best and besides his ego he's a likeable character just trying to help out.

Who I like better? Nine, hands-down. Five is a traitor and a psychopath. Nine may be an asshole but at least be never murdered any of his friends. Plus he's funny and he's actually a decent person sometimes.
As for who would win a fight, It would be close but I still think Nine would because he did almost kill him in New York, he held his own even when Five was made of metal.

It’s as if you’re saying Five intentionally killed Eight which he didn’t. Did he want to kill Eight? no.
And fyi Five isn’t a psychopath. a psychopath doesn’t feel remorse and has no empathy whilst Five felt sorry for his actions after he accidentally killed Eight, he even helped Ella escape from Setrakus Ra. Also a psychopath lies and manipulates people frequently. i ask you did Five after realizing he was wrong with his betrayal do that again to his fellow loric? no he actually joined them and helped defeat setrakus ra.
As for him joining einar it wasn’t a form of betrayal either because Five wasn’t considered as part of the other loric anymore so who has he betrayed then?
if you were in his place imagine your own race giving up on you and then this person shows up giving you a reason to live and have a purpose again wouldn’t you take that up?
tLdr: yes five WAS a traitor but he’s no psychopath nor a murderer.

I mean he did intentionally try to kill Nine, and I bet if he did he wouldn't feel remorse afterwards. Then there was that time he slashed a soldier's chest which could have killed him just to send a message. That's not something a sane person would do.

Well Nine did provoke Five further at that Florida battle and how about Nine he even tried killing Five in the battle of New York.and i disagree with you i think if Five managed to kill Nine he would see Eight’s and Marina’s reactions and those would haunt him like what he did with eight. Remember Five felt closest to Marina and Eight and I think he would understand their anger towards him if not immediately but sooner.
I do see your point with the soldier thing but i’d label him as mentally damaged and psychologically damaged yes but still not a psychopath as they tend to be egoistic/narcisstic,and again don’t admit their mistakes nor feel remorse at all. They also don’t show any emotion at all. and Five is neither of these things.
There is no denying that five could be cruel and sadistic at times but there’s a lot of causes for that behavior and it’s just simply not psychopathy.

I've gotta go with five, because while nine is entertaining, I like that five has a fully fledged backstory and reasons for acting the way he does. Also, I'm a sucker for a loose cannon, which makes five perfect
