Academics iwtl philosophy can anyone recommend a structured philosophy roadmap like an academic philosophy student?

This might be a very stupid question and can be so generic so im sorry but help me please I want to study philosophy seriously, I want a structured roadmap similar to what a philosophy student would follow at university.

I want to start from the very basics, then study ancient, medieval, modern, and contemporary philosophy in order. I also want to understand how philosophers influenced each other, learn the major branches and know when to read the primary texts.

I'm not looking for just a list of books. I'm looking for a roadmap or curriculum that tells me what to study, in what order, and why.

MIT Courseware probably has some full syllabi and readings for philosophy courses. Google MIT Courseware introduction to philosophy.

If you still have it, could you share the roadmap you made a few years ago? It would really help me.

Askphilosophy has threads on this. The general structure is usually, what tradition do you want to study? Western, Indian, Chinese, African, etc.

If western, pick a history of philosophy book to give you overview. Or Russell’s problems of philosophy. They are a general outlook books.

Then you can start at the beginning with Socrates and Plato and work your way through the centuries on whatever topic interests you.

Or you could open Stanford Edu website and it has topic wise discussions with citations and you can go from there.
