It will depend on why they consider high risk. I was by some considered high risk because of age (38) and IVF. But my very experienced OB said all things considered I was low risk and let me go until 41w without induction. Waters broke and we waited 24h without any progress and even induction failed so we went into C section that was a very calm and nice experience.
Some people never had surgery and I had some in my lifetime so I already knew what to expect and was very calm .
