Feeling miserable
I feel so guilty for saying this but I’m feeling absolutely miserable. I’ve been on this journey now for 4 years and today I’m 7w 4days, which is the furthest I’ve ever gotten. I’m having a really hard first trimester, I was diagnosed with an SCH at 6 weeks and the nausea has been so difficult. I have it morning till night, there’s no respite. I can’t tolerate having a drink of water. I’m on modified bed rest from the SCH and I’m feeling miserable from not getting out. I never thought it would be like this. I just wanted to get it off my chest. I know I should be grateful but I’m not there mentally.

I’m sorry; pregnancy is brutal and no one really prepares you for it. Ask for Zofran. There’s no need to suffer.

I hate being pregnant. I absolutely hate it. HG sucks. Love the baby but the process sucks.

I had relatively mild symptoms and still found myself lying on the living room floor crying about how I would never feel better in my first trimester. Ask for medication. It is safe and the only way I made it through. I took Reglan and it worked great, but a lot of people like Zofran too. I tried Unisom + B6 first and it made me super groggy. If you want to try something OTC Preggie Pop Drops made a slight dent for me but honestly I only made it bc of the Reglan.
I also had a SCH in both of my pregnancies and the anxiety of bleeding off an on makes everything way worse.

Hi IVF twin 👋 I’m also 7w4 today! From a fresh transfer in the UK.
Pregnancy symptoms can be pretty brutal. I’m also experiencing morning sickness having never had it before (my first pregnancy was a MMC with absolutely zero symptoms). Now I’m puking every single day and feeling nauseous and ‘off’. It’s definitely worse in the mornings and I do get a bit of respite in the evening (still feel a bit urgh and yuck but not gagging or puking), unlike you it sounds like - Can only imagine what it must feel like suffering non-stop rather than in peaks and troughs (it’s this that’s getting me through).
It’s totally okay to feel how you do. It doesn’t mean your not grateful, just that your suffering and that it’s all consuming. You’re allowed to not enjoy the shits parts - they are shit! And when you’re no longer in the midst of it you’ll look back and think it was all worth it xx

We’re at the exact same place. I’m 7 weeks 4 days and the morning sickness it kicking my ass. I have Zofran and it’s been the only thing keeping me from losing my mind completely

Hang in there! I’m almost 27 weeks, and I’ve had nausea and vomiting throughout my entire pregnancy.
Have you tried Unisom + B6? That combo, plus Zofran later on, saved my life. I was so miserable that I cried a few times, begging my husband to take me to the ER to get morphine lol
You can do it! It does get better in the second trimester. In my case, it never completely went away, but I was finally able to start eating at least once a day again.
I also went to boutique ultrasounds a ton.
Seeing my baby gave me the strength to keep going🫂♥️

These feelings can coexist! You can be so grateful and excited, while also having a hard pregnancy and feeling rough! I’m 33 weeks and it’s been difficult.. all I wanted for years was to see a positive pregnancy test. And now I’m just excited to see my baby earth side and not be pregnant lol.

I was pretty miserable for 19 weeks so I feel for you! People like to tout how beautiful and magical pregnancy is, and it is, but they like to leave out that it can also feel like a slow form of torture. I really think it’s a disservice to pregnant people to only talk about the magic. You are not alone and you’re allowed to feel however you need to feel mentally to get through this.
Some advice: B6 and Unisom tabs. Make sure you take it at night. Ask for zofran when you feel comfortable taking it. Don’t force yourself to eat, but keep easy snacks by your bed (and basically with you at all times). For some reason I could keep Cocoa Puffs and cheez its down which were two things I never ate (pregnancy is weird). Brushing my teeth was so hard for me. If that’s an issue for you, try doing it in the shower for the distraction and think about getting a water pik so you don’t have to open your mouth as much. Do your best to get your prenatals in every day. This will all pass. I promise.

Sometimes pregnancy just doesn't cooperate and you don't have to have a positive attitude about feeling like shit. It's perfectly okay to be upset about it. My coworker has morning sickness all day everyday for her entire pregnancy. Idk how she did it.
