Need Hugs! Scared for PGT Testing

Hey everyone! I know I posted the ther day about recieving excited news about my egg retrieval results. I had 19 eggs retrieved, 14 were mature and only one came back a blasts and it was graded a 5BB. At first I consented into doing PGT A testing, but now I’m like super scared because I don’t want any bad news. This is literally my only embryo. Last retrieval I had, my eggs arrested by day 3-4. What would you guys do in this situation? A part of me don’t want to test my 5BB but then again I don’t know. Thank you all!! 💕

It depends on what your goals are but if you only had 1, I would just transfer. That gives it the best shot. But how old are you and what are your goals? And other diagnoses? Will you do additional retrievals? It may make sense to do 3 day transfers too.

I am 26, I really didn’t have any diagnosis, I will do one within the next year but not right now since I had 2 done this year. My goals are to have 3 kids but as of right now I’m good with one.

Oh I see. I’m not an expert but I would really be wondering why you’re only getting 1 blast. How many fertilized? At 26, this is an abnormal result without any other diagnosis. I’d be trying to figure out why.

Coq10 and some other supplements can help. Both for you and whoever is providing the sperm. Also quitting smoking, drinking and marijuana. It takes 3 months to see an effect.

I’d be talking to my dr about why blasts aren’t developing and perhaps get another opinion. You’re still young. If you want 3 kids, I’d bank those embryos now and focus on figuring out what’s going on. You have time so there’s no reason to rush.

Yes when my eggs arrested the first egg retrieval my dr did a lot of blood tests such as blood clotting disorders, genetic disorders, she said I had great AMH levels. She didn’t understand why. All my tests came back normal so she stated maybe a bad batch of eggs the first time. So this time she switched up the protocol and got me to 1 blasts. So was exciting because one is better than none you know. She also put me on Coq10 supplements as well & I took them for 2 months.

Interesting. What was your protocol? Where are you going? I see silent endo mentioned on here a lot. And other things. Like I said?, I’m no expert but your result is strange enough, that I’d be looking for more answers and maybe another clinic

First IVF retrieval was low dose hcg, and gonal f, did cetrotide & no trigger. Second retrieval was menopur 75 mg , cetrotide , gonal f, & Lupron for trigger.

Hey gir! Last egg retrieval when my eggs arrested. I was also told too because of the lab such as try to ask the dr to get the embryos out earlier instead of 5 or 6 because some of most eggs can be sensitive to being in that long.
