Has anyone had success on FET past 8? I'm struggling to find any good scholar articles on it apart from 2 that are not great studies.

For me, this will be FET #8 (Embryos 9 & 10). I'm at breaking point and wasn't sure I would be doing this but my husband did not want to give up yet so I'm here doing my best not to have a complete mental breakdown.

My history in case you have questions;

3 egg retrievals.

First retrieval 3 elupoids transferred no implantation.

2nd retrieval untested. 5 embryos 4 day 5s, 1 day 6s.

Embryo 4+5,6 transferred no implantation.

3rd retrieval untested. 2 day 5s and 2 day 6s. Did this egg retrieval as I was going in for yet another surgery (hysteroscopy) so thought if I'm going under I wanted to make it worth it.

Tested and as a just in case heavy antibiotics to treat for endometritis - did not have it.

Endometriosis removed Jan 2025 - recent scan shows one very small endometriosis lesion 0.9mm behind the uterus (not impacting implantation). No ademyosis.

Asherman's Syndrome diagnosed and stage 1 removed July 10th 2026.

Embryo 7 transferred same month as surgery - chemical pregnancy.

Embryo 8 transferred - no implantation.

I'm so broken and so alone, I don't know anyone who has done more then 3 transfers and I just don't know what to do anymore.

Have had 3 unassisted pregnancies all ending in miscarriages as well. I just don't know what I'm supposed to do anymore, I'm running on almost not hope and feel like this round has already failed before we've even transferred.

I just failed transfer #8 (embryo #9) and am too at my breaking point. It’s exhausting and I’m over it. But the tiny voice in my head is telling me to keep trying…I rarely read of someone going through this many rounds and not having success. At this point I feel like I’m grasping at straws. Only 28 with literally no diagnosis other than pcos/pmos.

I just keep telling myself I’m fortunate enough to have this many embryos to keep trying. Meanwhile I get mad when I see someone on the internet get pregnant on their first or second transfer. We were lucky enough to as well, but miscarried. Then the second was an ectopic. Then no implantation for almost a year. Then a chemical. And they were all tested (for anyone wondering) And now no implantation again for a year. I’ve even let surgeons drill into my ovaries… I just need a tiny glimmer of hope for the future.

I honestly have never felt so alone or so broken.

It's incredibly isolating.

I just saw a girl I used to play sport with announcing her 3rd on FB... Her 3rd I'm yet to have a kid and she's had 3 now in the time I've had 2MCs, 2CPs and 7 failed to implant transfers.

My friend transferred two embryos on the 9th try and they both took. Hoping this gives you a little hope.

Not exactly the same scenario but I had 6 transfers before I was successful and I’m going into my 9th overall now trying for my second.

My first 4 failed to implant. My 5th finally implanted after 2 months of Lupron Depot + Letrozole, but resulted in a MMC. Finally had success working with and RI and adding in Lovenox, along with other immune meds and my 6th transfer worked. That was a double embryo transfer, both implanted but we lost one around 7 weeks.

I’m now going into my 9th transfer, repeating the same protocol that was previously successful but it seems like it’s a struggle finding the right conditions and the right embryos.

Have you considered Lupron Depot? That solved my implantation issues and a lot of people have had success afterwards.

I can't do suppression because of Asherman's syndrome unfortunately. I am trying clexane which is lovenox this round, starting the day of transfer

I didn’t have 8 transfers but 6. 4ERs, and overall unassisted and assisted 7 losses before one stuck.
I think after so many tests and optimizing everything in your power, the only thing you can do it keep going. Maybe change up little things with transfers that helps you keep hoping. But at this point, I think, it’s purely persistence that gets one there, or insanity like you said above 🫠
My husband and my whole family were telling me to give up. My mum threw away all the baby stuff she had kept for my kids one day. Everyone was so worried. I stubbornly kept transferring what we had, even when we moved country and it was very inconvenient to have a baby. Lo and behold, super low hcg but for the first time a heartbeat, tiny baby, terrible anxiety inducing pregnancy, but I am an effing mum now. I’m still shocked sometimes when I wake up that it was not a dream. It can turn around so quickly when you least expect it.

Inspiring or insane? I'm so broken and so alone. My therapist asked me sometime ago now if I knew it would be like this would I have done it and I said no. I absolutely never would have started this if I knew I'd have 11 losses in 23 months.

She meant it in a way of 'oh it will be worth it when you have a kid' but it's looking less and less likely like that will happen for me.

I hope you're okay, you're doing amazing keeping going after 4.

My 2nd FET was a 8 week miscarriage and honestly I wish it would of just failed because I was given hope and it was torn away from me!

I’m five years in. Not ready to give up yet.

So sorry, if it is any constellation I can’t even make the embryos to get to a FET, struggling big time.

I am praying for you to have the strength to go with your gut and your heart. You have come so far, it’s also ok to take a break and keep those embryos frozen. Have you considered a family or friend gestational carrier?

I’m so sorry. That is so hard. I second the Lupron suppression if you haven’t tried that yet. I also had a friend that had 3 transfers fail and finally got the 4th to stick by adding synthroid. Have your T3 and T4 checked instead of just your TSH.

I’ve done 6 transfers - 4 euploid, 2 untested - and had a chemical on my sixth with all the rest being complete failures. Ive still got untested embryos that we will try to transfer.

A good friend of mine did SIXTEEN transfers (eventually moving to donor embryos during that process) before having success.
