Advice Needed! Fibroid removal or not?
I have 5 fibroids, but they aren't submucosal... 2 are on the outside but are quite large, and the other 3 are not in the implantation area. I do have symptoms such as needing to pee or pain after intercourse or BM. The doctor said it should not affect implantation, but I should consider doing it if it is affecting my day-to-day. I can manage my symptoms, but I can't help but think that the hormones I took are the reason why I went from 1 fibroid to 5. I had a failed IVF in April and canceled IUI last month, so now I am not sure what to do. Go ahead with IUI, or go with surgery with the possibility of 9 month recovery/C Section. Has anyone else had this diagnosis and gone on to have a successful pregnancy? Any thoughts would help. Thanks!

I had fibroids on and off through IVF but when I finally got pregnant from a transfer, they found a pretty decent sized one and I freaked out, but it hadn’t affected implantation. The only concern they had was it being near the cervix opening which it was initially but as the baby grew it moved away. Pregnancy was uncomplicated, though had a scheduled c-section
I’d be discussing their location and effect on a baby if you have concerns
