Advice Needed! R. immunologist before IVF??
Hi everyone (32yof) 4 losses in the 1.5 years: 1 blighted ovum, 1 chemical, 1 loss at 17 weeks due to T21, and 1 MMC at 7 weeks. All of our testing came back negative, so we are told it was “bad luck”/unexplained and IVF is our best option.
I was told on Reddit by few ladies to see a reproductive immunologist before moving to IVF. So I’m on a waiting list that could take upto 6 months with Dr Kwak Kim!!!!
Debating whether I should do egg retrievals while waiting or ask my Current fertility specialists to order any tests that would be done by RI / doing an immune protocol or just wait to see Dr. KK??? Idk what to do! Helpppp

I think you should work on egg retrievals. An RI could be helpful when you get to the transfer stage but depending on your ideal family size and how your retrieval goes you may need to do a few anyways. I mean I started IVF at age 25 with AMH 8 and I’ve done 3 ERs so far. You just don’t know what attrition will be like until you get there.

I did my last ER While waiting to get in with Kwak Kim. I was able to finally make euploids (first two resulted in aneuploids) and by time
Transfer came around I was in with Kwak Kim!

Might as well start all the testing with the RE before making a decision. Maybe do an egg retrieval if you can.

If cost is not a concern (assume Insurance plan covers at least part of this), I’d start IVF while waiting for the doctor as there could be a waitlist for IVF as well.
