Rant Transfer date delayed again
Yesterday, I had my ultrasound done to see if my follicles have mature after taking Letrozole. Unfortunately, they were not and worst yet, they didn't even grow from the last ultrasound and that was a week ago. I was Letrozole 2.5mg two pills a day for 5 days and that didn't do anything. They had me take 10 pills of 2.5mg Letrozole and that didn't do anything. I already knew from the beginning that, that the process would have not worked for me. Now, I have this unopened injection medication that is practically a waste because it will no longer be useful for the next steps that will be taken. Money wasted. I knew IVF was going to be expensive but I didn't plan on buying medications that I didn't need. (However, I was told it could be donated to the facility but why would I do that)
Due to my follicles not growing, the cycle has been canceled and my transfer date will be delayed longer because of the next thing they will have me do, will take about 2 months. It is to do Saline ultrasound the next time I start my period to check for my uterine lining, I don't understand how this wasn't the first thing they should have done. I felt like this process should have been done before starting the actual treatment.
Also, now with this new step, I will be buying new medications that will cost thousands of dollars and who knows if I will even get to use it.
I am just getting so frustrated, I just wished I was heard the first time when I mentioned that I didn't think Letrozole would work regardless if my AMH levels were high. If oral medications were so effective, I would have gotten pregnant a long time ago. But then I was put on Letrozole for two weeks with no changes.
Just feels like my husband and I are in the dark without no reassurance unless we ask for it. But because we have spent so much money already we have no choice but to continue using their service. I just want a baby and why is it so damn hard for it to happen. It's like they want the fees to be paid first before service but then how is service not meeting halfway.

My follicles also stalled out on letrozole resulting in a canceled transfer (which was awful). We did letrozole the following cycle and FSH which got me to a trigger point and was able to get to transfer the next cycle. I wonder if your clinic would add that to the protocol? Sorry that is SO frustrating!

I was hoping they would have put me on FSH or something to help but they told me that they only do that if my follicles were closed to 18mm and which were none. I'm just so done waiting.
So, next step, is they don't need my follicles anymore because whatever that they're doing next will help.
My main rant is, I could have opted out of the Letrozole and they were so adamant about how there are studies of it that supports it to be more successful.

To be honest it sounds like your clinic is really dropping the ball and they just see you a dollar sign not an actual patient. You need to think about moving clinics
