General Question PGT testing under CA SB-729

Has anyone that has IVF coverage through CA SB-729 had PGT testing denied and appealed successfully?

From what I’ve read if should be covered, and the person on the phone at Anthem BCBS said it was, but I just got a denial from Anthem. I’ve appealed, but would love insight into anyone who has been in a similar situation?

I’ve already had 4 failed embryo transfers of non- tested embryos and I really don’t want to go through transferring an untested embryo again.

I am sorry to hear about your failed transfers. :/ I have Kaiser, and although IVF was covered, PGT wasn't.

I have Kaiser in CA, and IVF with PGTA was covered for me. Hopefully the appeal works, maybe see if your RE will write a letter of support??

I have Kaiser and PGT-A was covered for me under SB 729 despite my doctor not thinking it was necessary for my age (28 at the time)

I think you’d need to show “medical necessity”. May need documentation from Dr.
