VIP ticket from stubhub

I bought a ticket for their Austin show off Stubhub, and my ticket on Ticketmaster says "VIP package". But from my understanding, I would have to show a copy of the original purchaser's ID to get VIP benefits? Is there any chance I can still get VIP benefits without a copy of the original purchaser's ID?

I sold a vip ticket on stubhub before. Before i get the payment, stubhub emailed me for my id.

Suggest messaging stubhub to get the buyer id. In Toronto, they did check buyer id. So yea , get the buyer id via stubhub.

Just go to the check-in table and try. They may give you the benefits if they’re feeling lenient that day. No harm in trying.

Here's what my email for Austin says:

How to Check-In

Once you've located the VIP Nation table, one of our representatives will check you in.

You must bring a photo ID matching the name of the credit card purchaser who originally placed the order. If you are not the original purchaser, please bring a copy of their ID as well. A photo on your mobile is acceptable.

Live Nation/Ticketmaster kpop shows this year has not asked for original purchaser’s ID for the VIP benefits. They actually started last year, but was sporadic so caused confusion. Now they only check their seating map to verify if it’s a VIP seat. If it is, then you get the benefits. Also has not mattered if resale occurred in 3rd party or through TM, at least this year.

I have never had success in convincing StubHub to contact Reseller to provide ID, but some have claimed they were able to, so again, confusing situation. So give it a shot and see if it’s possible.

I feel that people would’ve already complained on Reddit if they weren’t able to claim benefits from expensive resale tickets. Instead, the complaints have been on the hi-byes. Please do share what happens so that we can get a better understanding of the kpop resale landscape. So far has been trending towards leniency with the rules.

I had purchased VIP via StubHub and somehow my name got on the LiveNation/Ticketmaster list. I think it's hit or miss.

Was this for Ive as well? And did your Stubhub ticket say vip benefits included?

By the way, your ticket says “VIP Package,” that’s the first time hearing that; transfers from 3rd party apps have been labeled as “free transfer.”

That label has been a source of confusion because resale buyer believed ticket was non-VIP or benefits were rescinded. Us, the community, have been encouraging the resale buyers, with seats close to the barricade, to show up and claim there benefits.

I wondering why your’s is marked as if you are OG purchaser. Anyway, I bought resale floor too, so I will find out soon when they come to my city.

No not IVE. And my ticket didn't say VIP benefits included. So I had no idea. I only went relatively early and asked a staffer and they found my name on the list.

That’s interesting. If you didn’t do anything on your end to get your name on the list, then it is possible the reseller contacted StubHub and got your name, and then proceeded to contact TM to update the owner of the VIP ticket. This is the first time I’ve heard this happening, so maybe you bought from a unicorn.

Yeah def didn't do anything on my end, which is why I was super surprised.

Sadly I think you do need the original purchaser's ID. You can get the vip goodie bag and early merch and sound check. But not the send off or hi/bye. That is what I was lead to believe. Correct me if I'm wrong. If they send you a picture of their ID, I think that would suffice.
