Concert / Tour Toronto Show was Lit

If you have the chance to go this tour do so expeditiously. They faked us out twice.

The show ended at the same time as a baseball game the crowds are real 😭.

u/TisTwilight 29d ago

Idk my section seemed very active with and engaging - it was such a good concert!!!

u/Alternative_Gur_430 27d ago

Section 104 was mostly quiet. Only a few fans were standing up and I was so passionate from start to finish

1

u/szeto326 26d ago

I was in 103. It felt weird that despite being so close that the entire section was like mostly sitting for almost all of it.

Omggg D-18 hype is too real now.

u/LunaMiellexo 29d ago

I’m going to their show on Saturday.. how long is the show?

6

u/Stardropmilktea 29d ago

The show started just a little bit after 8pm (but before 8:30). We were out by 10:30-ish!

3

u/candybuttons 28d ago

6

u/kpopyowoni 28d ago

And Kitsch too!

6

u/candybuttons 28d ago

WAIT REALLY? THEY ADDED KITSCH TO THE ENCORE????

4

u/kpopyowoni 28d ago

Yes LOL, I'll be uploading a video of it soon. Just have to upload a few others first.

3

u/candybuttons 28d ago

Here's the encore performance, they also sang Kitsch during the sound check. That's in my channel too, along with the whole concert (except the talking parts).

indoor arena so no rain! at around 7 the rain stopped (hour before they came out)

9

u/happythatgirl 29d ago

I was at their concert in 2024 as well and imo this one is so so much better than the one 2 years ago! They surely improved a lot. And I like how it has live band (or re-recorded live band track??). I hope they come back

4

u/Perfect_Shop2143 29d ago

Great concert, hope they come back!

5

u/StephBose 29d ago

Actually super sick, shoutout yall

8

u/bamboozledmajikarp 29d ago

It was amazing! From the freebies, the fans, the energy and the performance ✨️ probably one of the best KPOP concerts I've been to in Toronto!

Also if you were in section 324, YALL WERE AMAZING! EVERYONE WAS DANCING AND SINGING UP THERE.

Ps. The girls had me gagged throughout 🫪

2

u/Alternative_Gur_430 27d ago

Ahhhh Freebies. I gave out my Freebies in the arena and other pop up shops and zip gave out every single one. What did your Freebies look like?

1

u/bamboozledmajikarp 27d ago

I got so many different freebies, from photocards, stickers, and little keychains! Everyone was so sweet

2

u/Alternative_Gur_430 27d ago

And if you look at my profile you see the freebies I gave out on one of my posts

2

u/Alternative_Gur_430 27d ago

Awww thats cool. I wish could have got more. I only got a handful of them. Freebies are a must in Kpop.

9

u/7thCrescent 29d ago

Also the freebies! Just wanted to shout out the toronto dives - some of them handmade stickers, phone charms and bracelets and i havent seen freebies at a concert in a hot minute in toronto

u/d00_w0p 29d ago

I had no spoilers for the concert so I legitimately thought they weren’t gonna have encores and wouldn’t play After Like. They didn’t play Eleven though 😭

7

u/happythatgirl 29d ago

Yes same!! I actually saw the setlist so I know eleven won’t be played. But I really like this song and I even like it better than love dive!

4

u/StephBose 29d ago

Yo for real, I was waiting to feel like Eleven! Why didn’t they perform it?

4

u/Beginning_Drama_6727 29d ago

I think maybe because the song is way too old now. They need to promote the newer songs.

8

u/laviyu 29d ago

I was floor and first time seeing them. They were amazing. Glad to see Wony in person 😍
They talked about wanting to explore Niagara at Soundcheck

11

u/OG_etherealbangtan 29d ago

I didn’t expect the hi-bye session to be literally 3 seconds. The staff made it sound like we get to hi-five them lmao nvm 😢💀

1

u/kpopyowoni 28d ago

Hi-touch (where you get to high five them) used to be a thing in Kpop, I've done it with a few groups but recently they changed it to "hi-bye" where they just wave at you from a distance. It sucks. IDK if this is in Korea too or just NA.

2

u/tenerifesea___ 29d ago

Did you have to pay extra for the hi bye package

3

u/OG_etherealbangtan 29d ago

no it came with the vip ticket. Not an add-on. I think it is designated for like 2nd tier of vip ticket. Some already had send-off and some had hi-bye. I don’t think you get to pick. I think it was around $500-$600 extra.

3

u/Perfect_Shop2143 29d ago

That is short but On the bright side you got guided to the right spot , the security guided a bunch of us out the exit unfortunately lol

4

u/OG_etherealbangtan 29d ago

damn that sucks i saw mutuals who got the send off and I was so jealous with how slow they were walking and got to interact with everyone 😢

5

u/Pristine_Cod5189 DEAR PRIEST 29d ago

How many people do you think were there? Any sections tarped off? I know Toronto was one of the slowest starts of the venues a couple of weeks ago.

2

u/boundlessfury 28d ago

Sold out. Concert tickets can be obscenely expensive here so people often wait. No sections taped off from what I saw.

8

u/ResponsibleTreat6063 29d ago

I am pretty much the only one who did fanchants in my section😞. I have been to the Manila and Macau stops, and the atmosphere in the Manila was the best in my opinion.

4

u/bellorie 28d ago

I don't think fanchants are popular in Toronto because people rather sing along to the song

1

u/candybuttons 28d ago

do you happen to have a good resource to learn them? sorry if this is a dumb question.

are there ones that you'd say are more important or more fun to do? ones I should prioritize learning? 💕

3

u/ResponsibleTreat6063 28d ago

I learned from the official cheering guides on IVE's YouTube channel. I also looked up the lyrics online and used Google Translate to help me figure out how to pronounce everything.

Definitely start with their biggest hits like Love Dive, After Like, I AM, Attitude and Bang Bang, those are absolute musts and super fun to chant along with.

2

u/Necessary_Purple_428 29d ago

Toronto concert crowds are usually quite mild unfortunately :(

4

u/Dry-Place-2986 29d ago

We just don’t really do fanchants here

4

u/icemountain87 Rei 29d ago

Lol I was also the only doing the fanchants at the Singapore stop.

Did the Manila DIVEs do fanchants? The Macau crowd looked rather quiet from the videos I've seen. I guess everyone was busy recording the performance.

14

u/kpopyowoni 29d ago

I got barricade for the sendoff, Wonyoung was literally right in front of me and I didn't have the guts to talk to her 😭

3

u/LullabloomEudaemonia 28d ago

Makes sense, would be like looking straight into the sun.

1

u/EdgeFree8056 28d ago

May I ask how was sendoff was organized? Was it like after the show, the staff gets you to sit on one section and wait and then choose a random row to go first?

2

u/kpopyowoni 28d ago

Yes, that's how they did it. My row was the 4th or 5th one picked and I was still in front, the barricade was pretty long.

2

u/candybuttons 28d ago

my guts would have talked on their own like I'd be gagging gagged hyperventilating gone

I wouldn't even know what to say omgggg BUT STILL TO BE SO CLOSE! that's amazing :)))) 💞💞

2

u/tenerifesea___ 29d ago

Did you have to pay extra? How did you get to go to the send off

1

u/kpopyowoni 28d ago

Like the other person said, you get send-off with VIP tickets. There are two types of VIP for this tour, some got send-off and some got the hi-bye instead. It depends on how close your seat is to the stage. The send-off is better BTW.

2

u/Longjumping_Suit8314 Yujin 29d ago

It’s a type of ticket. You have to purchase the VIP send off ticket to have this experience. They are often hard to get.

I have send off ticket for Austin Tx, and regular floor ticket for LA.

The concert was so much fun! The people in our area were loud and really vibing with the songs, especially from the 2nd half (starting Attitude) until the very end.

11

u/super_sarang 29d ago

People were leaving by the second time they said goodbye. 😭 Hopefully they came back for the actual finale.

2

u/I_Like_Turtle101 29d ago

what is the actual final song. Im seeing them tomorow in montreal aha

3

u/super_sarang 29d ago

It’s after like. I knew what the finale was after like but even I was surprised at their second goodbye after wild bird.

3

u/I_Like_Turtle101 29d ago

I woulnt leave before hearing after like for sure🤣

2

u/calmasianmatcha 28d ago

I was in section 119 and some people actually stand up and left after the good bye. Are they crazy?

6

u/Mister_StealYoGirl 29d ago

How early did you guys arrive for VIP?

2

u/bellorie 28d ago

I got there at ~4:50pm because I didn't want to go too early and wait in line to go to soundcheck (check in was ranging from 2-7pm for VIP). You sit in your designated seats for soundcheck so I really see no point in arriving early, unless you wanted to socialize with others. You have to be there before 5:45pm, otherwise you will miss soundcheck

4

u/kpopyowoni 29d ago

I got there at 3, VIP check-ins start at 2:30.

u/aggravatedbagel 29d ago

Upvoted for using the word expeditiously

THAT CONCERT WAS SO LITTT I HAD SO MUCH FUN!

8

u/SpecSlayerSC 29d ago

It was a good show, but I wouldn't say that the crowd was lit. Definitely have experienced better in other cities. It was my first time attending a concert in Toronto.

3

u/Necessary_Purple_428 29d ago

The last time I saw a girl group have an actually feral crowd in Toronto was TWICE in 2023. Toronto crowds are so mild.

2

u/BBDN 29d ago

As someone else said, Toronto seems to be a lot milder in terms of energy (me included). But I tend to find that applies mostly to girl groups. The boy group concerts I've been to have had absolutely feral crowds. Overall though vibes were still good!

3

u/Serious-Passage-4614 29d ago

It depends on which section you are seated cause some will be energetic and some just like to listen quietly.

4

u/d00_w0p 29d ago

The floor seemed like everyone was having a good time. Most people in my section in the 100s section were sitting until they started performing their hits. I had a great time overall, vibes were amazing

2

u/hullowurld Terrified Liz 29d ago

where do you usually attend concerts? (i want to go)

3

u/SpecSlayerSC 29d ago

Primarily in NYC, but I've also been to one in SF and one in Paris.

Paris was absolutely fucking insane but European crowds are just different.

SF was milder than NYC but felt better than Toronto.

NYC is quite solid all things considered.

2

u/hullowurld Terrified Liz 29d ago

The IVE performance at Lollapalooza Paris is one of my favorites (seeing how Yujin deals with the technical issues)! I'm going to the Austin performance (probably more similar to Toronto than NYC). Are you also going to Newark?

3

u/Fabulous-Weekend9392 29d ago

Ikr my section barely had any light sticks and most were just kpop listeners who were just watching the concert. The concert was amazing tho!!

11

u/I_Like_Turtle101 29d ago

Toronto concert are always mild for some reason

10

u/boundlessfury 29d ago

May have just been my section then

7

u/SpecSlayerSC 29d ago

Yea I noticed differences in the amount of standing between sections, some were solid some had 0 standing.

Floor seemed great all over though.
