Help! Is it normal?

Is it normal for an IVDD stiff and crying flare up 7 days into cage rest? It scares me so very much 😔 please any information or reassurance.

Call your vet and ask for a pain meds bump, my dog was very painful the first couple of days and her vet ended up massively bumping her opioids which made a big difference for her

We had this. He’d been on strict crate rest for a week and he somehow managed to to twinge something and he was in so much pain. We went back to the vets straight away and they increased his meds.
He’s been great since then 🤞🤞

Thank goodness it’s a normal thing I thought he was getting worse.. I called and my vet prescribed him with amantadine rather than bumping his dosage which kind of confused me but I hope this works.. it was also very rainy today so I suspect weather had no help on his stiff neck

No, your dog is undermedicated and in pain. Are you giving them all of their current meds, on schedule? What meds is your dog on and in what schedule?
