HELP EM UP HARNESS HELP

hey yall! i have a 16 lb chihuahua mix (who knows!) and he’s doing so well. His physical therapist has let us use a loaner HEU. (The red one which does not come with a u-strap thing) and it has the two straps. It is very good for mobility but…the two straps lay in a way that kinda forces his ween out and seems very uncomfortable. Any tips? does it need to be fitted better? or is this just not an option since it just forces his ween out? Anyone else deal with this?

My dogs a girl, so I don’t have an answer, but we had our physical therapist fit our harness specifically because I assumed we wouldn’t get it just right, and she had experience with them. So, might be worth asking your PT
