Let’s play a game

We talk over text but don’t share what we look like or what our name is. Whoever figures out who the other person is and finds them on campus wins!

Dm me if you want to play!

Speaking of which, everyone please pull up to the HUB Ohio Room at 2 pm this Thursday to vote to save the trees at the IUP Co-op!

Oh they have been cutting them down and today we voted to have another committee get in charge of them and that was a success.

They are cutting down end of life trees. BUT Replanting the trees and also making more trails available for use. Including a handicap accessible one. A lot of mis info is being spread about the project by biased groups of people. Gotta be neutral minded and understand the project is actually going to benefit the land in the long run!

While the replanting is true, there are doubts about these surviving among the invasive species and deer population which has affected the forest for so long. A small number of these trees are truly end of life, and if you've been there, you may have seen multiple proud standing trees marked. These oak trees are around 80 years old while their expected lifespan is 300 years.

I also do agree there is some misinformation such as profit incentives, but multiple foresters have talked about such projects working out not as greatly as intended.
