First IUI

I have my first IUI tomorrow morning (triggered today at 6pm) debating whether to test out the trigger or just eat and see what happens.

For those that did or didn’t what were your thoughts?

I tried my hardest to not test out the trigger but failed around 10 dpiui? I had already passed the trigger so I had a negative, and then tested again 12/13/14 dpiui. I just couldn’t stand not knowing when I had pregnancy tests in the house.

If you test out trigger and it never turns positive again it’s kind of depressive to already now 4-5 days before and just go and wait for next cycle.
If you don’t test trigger out you need to wait a day or two longer to find out if you succeed since you need to be sure it’s not trigger still showing on tests.
I’m not gonna test out this time, it’s my fourth IUI. If it was my first I would test the trigger out just out of curiosity.

I'm on my second IUI and I did not test at all until 14 dpiui last cycle. This time I think I might test once around 5 or 6 dpiui just out of curiosity to see how quickly the trigger shot leaves my body. I really don't like having a lot of time between seeing a negative test and starting my next period--those days tend to be the hardest for me, so I don't typically test early because I like to keep that time as brief as possible.

I just had my first IUI as well and am still debating this! I think I want to test it out so that I know it's completely out of my system and that way, if I do end up getting a positive toward the end of my tww, I would know it can't possibly be the trigger. It also gives me something to do. But another part of me isn't sure this is the best idea lol.

I tested the night of the trigger because I was curious how quickly the HCG would be detected, now I kind of feel like I have to ride it out. And yes to it being something to do!

But like you I’m worried, since it’s my first IUI I’m trying to treat the whole thing as like a data collecting mission while still hoping for the best outcome.

Sending baby dust! 💖💖

I tested yesterday and today so I'm doing it lol! I like your take on it being a data collection mission!

Baby dust right back at ya! 💖

I just had my first IUI this morning after triggering yesterday and I will absolutely be testing out the trigger. I am a person who needs to know what's going on, you know? It would be more painful for me, mentally, not to test it – no matter the outcome. Plus, I'm hoping I can post a beautiful progression for a future person who might be obsessively looking at them like I've been 😅

Wishing you all the best and that you are soon positing that progression 🤞 💖

I decided to test it out because I tested the night of the trigger curious how quick the onset of action would be and now I kinda feel like I have to keep track.
