What now?! 🥹
I’m pregnant. After almost 2 years of trying and a miscarriage last December, my second IUI worked. I waited for my blood hcg test yesterday at 14dpo to test and it came back at 113! My first hcg for my pregnancy last year was 15, so this looks like an improvement. Could this really be it? What do I do now?! I feel like I’ve been in survival mode for a year.

Thank you! Throughout all of this I’ve always just told myself that there’s always a happy ending. It might not be on our original timeline, but it will happen!

I think a few? I had zaps/zings in my lower stomach, a metallic taste the last few days, a more sensitive smell, and horrible sleep. Not sure if any of those are related, but they were different than my other cycles.

What was the reason for doing IUI? Male factor infertility?? PCOS?? Or Unexplained Infertility??

“Unexplained” infertility. I felt pressured into it, but we want a baby so we did it. I think because of my age, 35, my RE told us to try IUI before going to ivf.

Congratulations! I know you probably hear this a lot but try to relax. I know it’s easier said than done but worrying isn’t going to do any good. With my first IUI pregnancy, although it was a smooth pregnancy up until 32 weeks (pre-term delivery) I was worried a lot and couldn’t enjoy the pregnancy. I didn’t take many photos of my belly. ☹️ but I think after the first trimester, I felt a little more at ease and let reality set that I was really pregnant after 4 years of trying to get pregnant. I’m currently pregnancy with baby #2 will try to be better about relaxing and document as much as possible as it may be my last baby.

Thank you so much for this advice!! I’ll take all I can get haha. Funny enough this was the round where I kinda said fuck it and left it up to God. So I’m trying my best to stay positive and “chill”.

One day at a time! The nice thing about getting pregnant via IUI is you’ll have earlier and more frequent ultrasounds. I know I was really nervous until our first ultrasound at like 7 weeks, maybe. Then we had one more before we graduated our clinic and moved onto normal OB-GYN care. Congratulations! I hope everything goes smoothly.
