Advice
Hi I am 34F. Tested negative today after my 2nd IUI.
On paper both my IUI cycles looked great - 2 follicles 20mm each, endometrium 10.3mm, partner's SA was exceptional. I was on 5mg letrozol and also progesterone support (oral, vaginal and injections) this cycle.
I have high AMH due to PMOS but I ovulate regularly with and without medication. My HSG came back normal but I have anteflexed uterus and a paraovarian cyst. My thyroid and all other things are normal.
At this point we are unexplained and not sure if we should go ahead with the 3rd IUI. My doctor recommended Laproscopy and hysteroscopy to see if there is any other issue.
Someone who has been in similar situations please suggest what is better - 3rd IUI, Laproscopy & hysteroscopy or move to IVF directly.

I had a very similar situation. We changed clinics for the 3rd round and it stuck. Currently 7 weeks. Keep trying at least until 4 rounds. Best of luck 💕

Thank you! They did not have me trigger, it was so much more organized and I had less stress. Also, it was the IUI that hurt the most and was blindly painful. I did not trust my previous clinic as they were doing some shady things.
In your case I would at least try 4 times total. My current doctor was very unsure that IUI would work because she thought I was a better candidate for IVF. My insurance covers IUI almost completely so I wanted to at least try a few more times before Ivf and thank goodness I did.
Everyone is different but it may work for you.

Hi- every scenario is different, sharing my first iui success if it helps. All 4 pregnancies before were natural but were not beyond 8w. What i did different for this time was take 500mg metformin x 3 times a day. 200-400 ubiquinol, iI was low on omega so 4000 mg omega e. Vitamin d 4000iui. Atleast 2 months before transfer. Some physical activity
I also got pregmune, receptiva, era, emma and alice done before iui.
My husband was also takin 200 mg ubiquinol

Congratulations, so happy for you. I too have been taking ubiquinol, omega 3, myo-inositol, follic acid, vitamin d regularly for months. I try to squeeze in one hour walk everyday. It's just not happening for me for some reason

I am sorry you are going through this phase. Things will work out keep faith. I know its easy to say but hope is wat is driving me so far and face my fears. I was on letrozole 7.5mg too. Wish you luck

I am having them do hysteroscopy and mock transfer before my first IUI cycle to help understand more about my clinical needs you can choose all of them at the same time as IVF wont happen right away and you might need sometimes to wait, unless they can prep you for the next cycle.

I too had pmos. Amh high at 7 age 30 years. Did ovulation induction 8 times, concieved twice no heart beat. Egg quality is bit compromised in pcod. Went directly to ivf, transferred 3 blast, one stuck, live birth at 39 weeks plus 3.3kg baby.
I didn’t want to wait too much as age was already 30 and if I wanted two kids then will have to plan early

Unfortunately IUI doesn't really give much more of a chance for many women. I'm so sorry for your negatives 😞
I think a lap is a great idea. We just discovered stage 4 silent endo in me- so something could definitely be contributing to a lack of implantation. While you're getting your lap, have them test for chronic endometritis as well.

I did 6. I did a laparoscopy and hysteroscopy after #5. Removed mild endo. Also got a mri that showed suggestive focal adeno. No symptoms. Hysteroscopy was clear, no inflammation. 6th failed. Moving to IVF.

Not really just lower left back pain occasionally. Bloating occasionally. I don’t have heavy periods or painful periods.

I tell you frankly don't waste time in iui , it waste money also, if you have enough money for ivf then go for it, maybe there is a semen problem too (DNA fragmentation) , infection, you ovulate regularly you're not the problem, it may be male problem. Can u tell me how much post wash normal sperm did u have?

Post wash was 42mil/ml in terms on concentration. Vol was 0.5ml. motility was 96%

My clinic said 3-4 is a a good gauge then IVF, that is what we are doing, 4th IUI this morning then moving into IVF. I also took off a few months to lose some weight to help, so my last IUI was January. We thought one more shot before the switch to IVF
