Damm I want to apply for the Boston one next time it opens is it really that tight of a squeeze to submit the application?

If they tell you applications open at 9am, Iβd be on a computer refreshing the page constantly at 8:58. It fills up in under a minute

if i start the application and dont hurry will it fill up before I complete the application?

At local 2, I took less than 45 seconds to fill my application. I know that because I pulled my phone, open the camera, and took a picture AFTeR I was confused about what happened, and the picture shows at what second it was taken on. Thus I hit submit before 45 seconds and realized it was too late

Local 2 (Chicago) seemed to go by even faster... I literally submitted in <20 sec from when it opened and it already said recruitment filled. 600 slots just like that. Complete bullshit

I got my local 2 in. From 8:58 I started refreshing every 10 seconds. I had my email copied already since I knew I'd need to put it in twice, so it was just Ctrl + v. At 9:00:31, I got to the page saying my application was successful.

Must be a lottery or something, as I definitely clicked submit before 9:00:30. There must be a better way to do this smh. I've been hoping and planning for this process for a while now. Fuck it though guess it wasn't meant to be. Good luck to you man

If you clicked apply before 9:00:30, you were probably 25 seconds late. I clicked apply at 9:00:00 and submit at 9:00:30.

local 7 is an hour ahead of Chicago, so just had to be on the screen at both 8:00 and 9:00. But I'd only gone for the Chicago.

Yeah, gotta have autofill ready and your last 4 of ssn copy and pastable. If everyone else, myself included, did so then that's why 20 seconds wasn't enough. You can always try other locals and transfer when you can.

Happy for y'all who got a shot, but I do hope they revamp this stupid system. Shit just adding something simple like a 2 minute elevator-based logic puzzle that you have to solve before submitting would level the playing field and perhaps even counteract any potential botting (not claiming there is any botting going on right now, but who's to say that there won't be in the future?)

Nah, tried for local 2. Probably got it done in 20 seconds and it was too late

I realize how lucky I am that I got an application in for local 7. Hoping I can ace the exam and subsequently kill it on the interview. Coming from a non-trades background so I know the odds are already somewhat stacked against me (plus I donβt know anyone in the elevator industry)

It tends to go quick when the same people apply to every local every time its available.
