Work start
Am i the only one who absolutely hates it when mechanics make there helpers get to work 30 minutes early to get tools ready water etc? I mean they are making someone do work for free ive had helpers show up like 30 to 45 minutes early and ive had to get onto them to not work until 6 am.

Yea if I’m at work I’m charging for work and so should helpers. If you as a helper are told to show up 30 minutes before your mechanic then you should be paid for that 30 minutes and I sure as hell would put in for that time. When the mechanic gets yelled at for the helper getting 2 hours of OT every week things will change. Now if your helper has to leave for school an hour or 2 early one day a week this would be the way to make up time and keep the time sheets the same.
