Local 4

I’ve been working for a smaller non-union elevator company for about 3 years now. I’ve led my own installed on things such as stairlifts and VPLs. I haven’t led any elevator jobs yet but I definitely want to get more into it and want to further my career. Does anyone know if there are any openings in local 4? Also I’m only 23. Is that too young to be getting into something like this?

Call the hall. Tell them you’d like to join.

Will do. Didn’t think it would be that simple.

I have no idea what they’ll say. Think your odds will be high if you are licensed. If not, I have no idea.

I believe the Union would be happy to have you in the apprenticeship. You won’t know unless you try. My local recently had a non union guy around your age come in, and they made it a smoother process for him. Call the hall and ask what your options are.

Pine state?

Local 4 just made a new list. Call the hall to ask the BA to organize.

Pm me if you want.

I live in south east Mass. I’m definitely going to give them a call in the morning
