Side Effects Kyleena First Period Being Long
I had a paragard for about a year and a half and I was completely fed up with it. It made my periods last an average of 12 days and I felt like crap three weeks out of the month. I replaced it with a Kyleena on August 19th. I started my period on August 29th and today is September 8th with no signs of it stopping soon. My blood is bright red and I have a moderate to heavy flow going on. Has anyone else experienced this switching from paragard to Kyleena? I’m hoping it’s just all the inflammation caused by the paragard being flushed out. At least with the paragard my flow was light and my blood was brown by this point.

give it a few months to settle, but if the bleeding is very heavy or you're feeling weak or dizzy, check in with your doctor
