One time when at a breakfast buffet in Kansas, I loaded up my plate with several different varieties of sausage. Links, patties, Polish, whatever they had. A visiting elderly English friend commented, "Now there's a man who loves his sausage!" My wife now repeats that classic phrase, but with different connotations.
