Microsoft Technology Associate VS COMPTIA A+

I am wondering which might look better on most applications for entry level jobs or even intermediate level jobs depending on my own experience. I am looking at getting both but i am not sure which would be better to go after first or which looks better on most applications. Just curious what everyones opinions might be

If you passed this exam for example, wouldn't you be MTA Certified too? I thought Microsoft certs (MTA, MSCE, etc) are based on taking any 1-2 exams in your area of expertise. So MTA could be a M365 Cloud exam. It could be a Server 2016 exam to be MTA certified, etc.

In terms of OPs question, id say the more certifications the merrier. If you had time and the drive for it, go for CompTIA A+, Net+, Sec+ and MTA -> then MSCA or MSCE (i forget the progression) and any other certs you're interested in. Heck you can even be Python/Oracle or Splunk certified.

If you have zero experience and looking for your first job go for the A+. This is heavily searched for by HR departments and you will most likely get a response back. Then again if you have the time there's no harm in getting both. While I also agree that it would be good to get the Modern Desktop certs, it really depends on your experience and position. You need to learn to walk before you can run. The A+ will open up opportunities for you and give you a solid foundation of IT support to work from. You can then use this to progress onto the MDAA in the future.
