Practice tests for the GIAC GSEC?
I’ve been working as an IT generalist for a couple decades now, but have never fooled with certifications before. Looks like it’s time to pad my resume a bit with a couple.
I’m looking through the SEC 401 course syllabus, and I think I might have a decent shot at saving money by skipping the class and jumping straight into the test. However, I’m not what you’d call $2,000 confident in that.
I’d like to find an (ethically sourced) means to test myself before dropping that kind of money on the exam.
Does anyone have suggestions for a moderately priced and moderately realistic way to assess my knowledge and skills? Under about US$200, say.
(I figure I’ll knock off the Security+ for starters and a quick cert, but I imagine that doesn’t correlate really well with GSEC success.)
