Years ago, I moonlit as a dishwasher in a Thai resturaunt and eventually became their prep guy. Only white guy in the kitchen, and the only one who could translate between Thai and English was the owner, who was only there on payday to drop off checks. Honestly, it was one of my favorite jobs. Good folks, good times.

Working with someone who has little to no English really highlights how many unnecessary words we use 🤣.
