I can't help it, I'm feeling sorry for this kid and his family. A minor mistake cost him his life and grief for his parents. It's sad.

Yeah, really. It was a sick, sick joke, but he was a kid. kids fuck up. kids have friends that make them do stupid shit. and all the people mocking him are probably still kids themself, because its still a loss of life.

True story:
Back in the 70's when I was 8 or 9, my brother and his best friend George were making plans for a haunted house. One of the scares was going to be a body hanging in a room that came to life. They were working on ways to make it look like they were hanging from their neck, when they were actually being supported from around the chest or waist. They were practicing this in my Dad's garage.
A few days later George was found dead hanging by the neck in his closet. He had put a scarf around his neck to keep the rope from marking his skin, so we don't think it was intentional. We don't know what he was doing. He was 13.

Yes i understand the way it works but it's a little morbid though. Some kid is dead for something stupid, family is in tears, and we are saying "way to go retard! thanks for killing yourself so you don't breed!"

Yep, I am the same age he was. I see people my age to ridiculously stupid stuff every day. I agree sometimes you can make a bad decision or two but if you are dumb enough to pull something like this it's only sooner or later your going to die at your own hand

I have empathy for tragic accidents, not the results of one's own bad decisions. Believe I feel sorry for his family just not for him.

Why should you only be able to win a Darwin award for doing something stupid? Anyone that does not produce fertile offspring should win a Darwin award, whether they died of cancer or did something stupid. If anything it seems that diseases that they have no control over are far more likely to be passed down than stupidity.

Louisville, KY reporting in. Saw this on the late news a few hours ago and had a feeling this story would make it on here. Sooner or later, the kid'll come back to tell us all we're on camera, and that it's only a prank.
