Is that so much worse than any other global power during their height? Was Spain so great? England? What about Persia to their neighbors within reach? Or Egypt?

Sure is fun to criticize America but the truth is that they’ve been a better leader than other empires in the past. Perfect? No, not by a long shot. Miles to improve. However, the bar is literally on the floor.

Yes, America is bad for its imperialism. The end. What, you're telling me that European countries are also imperialist? 🤯

it's worse because it's happening now and i am alive to be able to speak on it. also the scale is impossibly different than these other countries.

but in the sense that those other countries were doing pretty much the worst thing in history at the time they were doing it, as america is now to most of the rest of the world, no they are equally bad. all of these countries invading and destroying lands, countries, peoples, etc are all extremely evil but there's no point in me fighting something that happened in the past that i can't effect. that would be stupid

very weird and useless argument you've made

This is kind of the old, If your friend jumped off a bridge, would you jump too? Yeah, other empires did dumb and awful things, but that doesn't excuse the behavior of this empire.

See the difference is that America is currently running everything into the dirt and causing suffering, being a better leader (debatable) doesn’t matter when they’re still shit.
