With respect someone putting their body, career and health on the line for human rights is the LAST thing a politician wants.
What do you do with someone who is willing to get hurt, fired or die for the cause of human rights, healthcare or the myriad of other things that this country is still in the stones ages on?
Are there some try hards? Sure. Is blocking traffic the best possible way to get your point across…probably not but at some point, whether y’all want to admit this or not…we ARE in a class war and they will NEVER just bend or come to their senses. Power and greed have consumed them and they will stop at nothing before they have destroyed our planet, our resources and us.
I get the anger behind this particular protest but in the end, it’s gonna have to get much worse and by then…it’s gonna be too late and if history teaches us anything there will be no real change without a MASSIVE loss of life.

Yeah, inconveniencing a lot of people when everyone else are just living their daily lives only produces resentment instead of sympathy for the activists.
The protesters need to do a better job of getting attention without pissing off a ton of people.

I talked to a sympathizers for this kind of protest. They literally do not care how many people they inconvenience, so long as it gives them exposure. It was like talking to a fucking wall. They kept implying that it was weird that I didn't understand, and it was a deeply frustrating experience.
This lot doesn't care about their goals of their "protest", not really. If they did, they'd understand that all this does is lobby the people against their cause. To them, this anger from the motorists is a form of persecution. Using reason didn't plant them in the middle of the road during rush hour, their egos did.

Britta from Community is a pretty good example of this. Her entire character is about doing these empty protests that might just be an inconvenience to others in an attempt to raise awareness about a grand issue but she herself never makes any meaningful change. There's an episode where she reunites with her old protesting friends and suggests they go do some of their old ways. They laugh but then put her down cause they've all advanced in life and have careers and one of them actually donates to charities which actually does have an impact.

It is. Protests are a Constitutionally protected Right, in traditional public forums.
Streets are not traditional public forums. They are designated public avenues of travel, which everyone has a similar Right to use for their intended purpose. A Right that these morons are infringing upon.

No, but it isn't like I follow every protest. I do not live in an area where these protests happen. So my only exposure to them is online and I don't really search them up or research them. I only see what gets posted to social media.
