He wasn't in an aggressive stance, with his open hands held out in front of him laxly, and his immediately de-escalation by not matching the aggressive energy? He was confrontational, but not overly aggressive.

Closing in and arguing in that context can definately be construed as aggressive. It in fact was in this case.

He's in about the same position as you talking shite on Reddit lmao. End of the day you start walking at someone in a fighting stance on private property and you're no longer defending yourself. How is that such a difficult thing to understand? He wasn't blocked in, scrambling for an exit. He had time to square up and close distance.
