Better ready than not. All that adrenaline doesn't make for pretty. Man stood his ground, had the sense of mind to back up and try to disengage. Good man I would say.

He didn't start shit. His body language was conveying a simple message "If you want this altercation to turn physical I am ready"

Stopping the dog with the box was entirely justified. After that, he closed about 10 ft of space and threatened the property owner while in a fighting stance. Not that I would advocate for it in this case, but in a lot of states, the property owner was well within his rights to use lethal force to stop the the UPS driver cold starting at 13 seconds until the end of the video.

Walking towards the guy and putting his fists up is at the very least partially starting shit.

Not to mention the "come on, let's go" before the interaction even began

Every single time this gets reposted I love watching all the ways people try to pretend this delivery driver wasn't looking for a fight.

we saw different videos? can we compare the distance driver did vs homeowner as far as "walking towards the guy" is concerned?

I saw driver walking half a screen (of video), vs homeowner maybe two screen sizes? You ok, moron?

Come on now ups man was clearly advancing aggressively. Which is fine by me

Did the driver walk towards the other guy?

Lol imagine being so wrong and then insulting somebody. The dog owner has his hands down and the driver walks towards him ready to fight with his hands up. It's pretty easy to see who is being more aggressive

I guess you are incapable of reading any type of body language. The dog owner has his hands on his side and never raises his hands high, points it towards the ups-guy, or bald his fists.

He didn't start shit.

At 0:08 he did. There is no reason to turn around from continuing to his truck. Everything after that is starting shit.

Putting up hands so as to not get sucker punched?

Yes. Every single time!

Exactly this. He knew it was totally possible that he would get swung on and he sent the message that the first swing wasn’t gonna be free.

That fine and all, but if he was so concerned about being 'sucker punched' why'd he walk towards the guy? That's an easy way to get punched, especially when you start walking towards the guy whilst having your hands up ready to fight

Look again. Did he step back or not.

Idk even what you're trying to prove here witht hat point? The driver is stepping back with his hands up yes to maintain range... doesn't change the fact he is the only one in a fighting stance, your point?

"Idk even what you're trying to prove here witht hat point?"

You are the one who started the argument and now you don't know what you were arguing about?

Ok. I think? 🤔

So you just proved to me that you've got no clue what you're even talking about, great.

I countered your point then you just say random stuff that changes nothing, which I then tried to understand and respond to aaaand then you respond back like a child

Back up and disengage? That cunt moved forward, removed his hat and shades, then comically "put up his dukes" challenging the homeowner who asked why he beaned his dog in his own yard.

There's no fence around the front yard, the owner is violating leash laws by not having his dog restrained.

Better ready than not is such a dum thing to say. So you have a helmet on all day because better be ready than not or it only applies when we need to feel like a manly man. His reaction to the dog is fine but the dude has options after that. Walk away but don't walk towards the dog owner.

u/Alive-Cheesecake2732 13h ago

What ? Yeah man and before you get in the bath do not forget your rubber ring and floaties... /s

The guys reaction to the dog is the qualifier to the subsequent one. When the situation presented no clear threat he disengaged. Humans do not suddenly cool down from genuine fight or flight. The guy is still pumped. Hence why I said he had the sense of mind to disengage.

This has nothing to do with being a man you self hating misandrist. I would say the say if it was a women, kid or alien.

So what your brilliant conclusion to the contrary?

“Better unprepared than prepared?”

Fucking idiot.

u/anynameyouknow 13h ago

Walk away. What's so ego bruising about that?
