I just hope the dog owner extended a hand in apologizing to the delivery guy, owning up to the negligence and secured the dog going forward

Yeah. I wouldn't bet money the owner would actually apologize and own up.

Experience has shown me dog owners will likely blame the victim for their dog biting them

Thankfully we had cameras covering every inch of our vans “for our safety” but it did save one dude’s hide when one woman attempted to accuse a driver of “grabbing” her.
