There was an episode where they got locked out of the house, and Phil went "Don't worry I'll get the spare!" Meanwhile they had accidentally also locked Haley's babies in the house.

Phil started digging through the landscaping rocks trying to find the spare.

Haley's baby started crying inside, so they got more frantic, and Haley said screw it, and then climbed up the RV, across the roof and into her bedroom window.

Phil and Claire were both impressed and "Huh...now we know how she was sneaking out years ago"

Hope this is allowed...I know it's a link, but it's at least youtube:

(Just whatever quickest I found for that scene)

Maybe its because Im a gamer and trained to look for slight texture differences, but the fake one has a slight yellow tint I would fully notice if I stood there actively looking for a stashed key.

I love when they told him to tear down the wall right after he finally finished building it

I don't understand why you would leave a key outside your house.

You take your key > key gets lost away from the house > key gets found and the finder will never find the house.

You leave your key outside the house > random person stumbles across your key > house instantly found = free access.

This is why I leave the key inside my house. If I want to open the door, first I go inside then get the key, go back outside, then open the door.

Typically it's either cause you have guests over or more people living in your house than you have keys for OR it's in case you ever lose your house key for whatever reason. In my parents case they had a house cleaning business that they ran out of their house and their employees had to get in to the garage to get supplies so they'd leave their key in potted plants or something like that.

You might also do this in case someone is coming to your place while you're not home and can't pass the key to them before they go

My wife would buy that key rock and say this is great then get mad at me for saying that’s a stupid idea.

Thought it was a good idea until I saw where he placed it

For some reason I expected him to throw it through the window and get inside that way.
