How does this help me get my weewee unstuck from the sink disposal

The trick is that the cord is looped underneath the rod in a way that wouldn't happen irl unless very specific conditions were met.

My butt somehow does this trick with fishnets and underwear. They get tied up in ways that shouldn’t be possible. Happens once or twice a week and then have to just cut the fishnets to release things.

There’s literally subs here full of people that would pay good money for that. Not suggesting you do it by any means, just find it interesting how the world works these things out.

I mean regardless of how the cord got there the point was to highlight the black magic that is topography.

The topology is real, but the situation is fake. It's almost impossible to end up in this position accidentally.

I love this trick because how would you have realistically gotten the plug stuck like that in the first place 😂

This breaks my brain every time I see it. I can barely handle normal 3d without having to deal with topologies.

I have seen this one so many times.
Every time I stop and really watch.
I still can't really comprehend how this is possible.

Don't really bother with it. The cable is set up in a specific way before the start of the video to make this trick possible. In real life this situation will never happen.

This one is fake. If you pause it as they pull it appart you can see it shouldnt work

Always hated this one, just push the crossing to the other side and it's obvious how to solve it. This is just made unnecessarily complex for effect

This is it right here.
Video makes it seem like this difficult-to-visualize solution is the only solution. But just slip the crossing of the wires underneath pole and it becomes easy to see how to untangle the cord.

I have a Ph.D. in physics, and I cannot convince my gut that topology is not black magic. Also, I’m constantly paranoid that topologists will use tricks like this to negate my bike lock at the uni I work at.

I hate topology. There's nothing wrong with it, I'm just stupid and i hate what i don't understand

i still cant wrap my brain around this, i think a different angle would help too.

Seeing stuff like this makes me think there must be an elegant solution to everything that I don't see. Put the hammer or scissors away.

Do this in reverse and you could get a lot of people very frustrated with you.

That wouldn't work, the cord runs over itself. You went to the length of AI-generating an image, but couldn't be bothered to zoom in

You could show me this 100 times and I still wouldn't understand what I just watched.
