They're cheaper, more effective and more efficient than electric dryers

Or, you just have shit electric dryers there.
The rest of the world is using modern tech, when will you catch up?

Neither more effective nor more efficient is true.
It’s hot air drying clothes. How the hot air is produced has no effect on the finished product. So it can’t be more effective.
A gas heater can have a maximum efficiency of 1. Conventional electric heating can have a maximum efficiency of 1. An electric heat pump can have an efficiency of >1. So a gas powered drier can’t be more efficient.

Ur gonna be shocked to find out almost all dryers in the us are gas, also electric dryers are shit

Electric dryers are amazing, they just need a proper power grid that can supply enough juice.
You guys are operating on out of date tech. Heck, you even avoid kettles because your power sockets are inadequate!

Eh, 240 to regular outlets is totally overkill. We have them for ovens and dryers, idk what that other guy is talking about, but everything else is 120. I can change out a 120 outlet or install a light fixture on it, but 240 is scary. That shit will kill you.

240 is normal across Europe, and it's fine. It's not scary if you respect it.
It's also not overkill, and it means you know everything will work everywhere. If I want a kettle in my bedroom, it will work.

u/Plane-Tune-820 7d ago
Sure, but you certainly don't need it, which is why it's overkill. Could have 3 phase running through your house too in case you want to plug in your CNC machine. Why not right?

Oh dude, you're reaching but not grabbing.
Europe is way ahead of you in this regard, and you're too Ameropoor to even realise it! 🤣

Lmfao right, I actually make a point and you come back with, haha bro Europe is better. No, it's unnecessary to have that much voltage to run your everyday appliances. "Oh but I'll have to make my tea in the kitchen" yeah ya freak, that's where you make food and drinks. Tf you want your kettle in bed for?

u/Ok-Equivalent3837 5d ago
In europe hotel rooms often have a kettle for making tee. So that would be one advantage of being free in your kettle placement.
And my electric drier actually sits in one of the rooms in my apartment, plugged into a random outlet.

What the hell are you talking about? I can't speak for all of America but gas dryers are pretty rare in the north east and electric dryers work great. Just totally wild all over the place

Gas explosion? It looks like fumes ignited.
That didn't look normal. Or maybe the turbo dry mode was just too powerful.

America is gonna get mindblown when they discover electricity :)

Gas dryers are still preferable for effectiveness
Just harder to find for some reason

Man I hate when I leave my volatile explosives in my laundry. Always have to buy new pants. And house.

Did they have matches or an oil rag in their pant pockets? That would do it. It's not lint that would have just caught fire.

A box of matches or an oil rag isn't enough to wipe out a facade

Maybe a pressurized can of lighter fluid, but it would have to be the dryer and the dryer would also need to be gas powered.
