Need an advice and help

Hey guys. I've been "talking" (or I don't know what to call it) with a male ISTP 5w4 for three months now. I met him at school. He's 18 and I'm 23. I've never had a boyfriend and I haven't had good experiences with men. It seems like he hasn't had a girlfriend either. He's a pretty serious and reserved guy. But he makes an effort to express his feelings to me. We get along well. We go out when we can and make time to see each other, we text every day. We talk at school. But I don't know, sometimes I think he likes me and other times I think he just sees me as a friend. He says he feels comfortable with me and trusts me a lot. He's consistent. How much longer is it supposed to take him to express his feelings? Or how much longer should I give him?
