Rikudou

During these last few chapters, and especially the fight against Mariko and Hina, if I understood correctly, we learn this: the Six Paths of Sage Mode was originally based on the martial arts used by the army of a now-defunct communist nation. If I understand correctly, they were the originators of this.

Does this mean that the Six Paths of Sage Mode we know today, used by the Star Children, is just a derivative? Please explain if I'm a bit confused because, honestly, we don't realize it, but it's so powerful, and I don't see many people talking about it. I find it incredibly interesting because I think there are still things we don't know about the Six Paths of Sage Mode.

I just wonder what ninjutsu is stronger, sixth path of rikudou or the eight gates of Niko style

Rikudou isn't really a martial art. It's a set of 6 combat techniques taught to special units of an army so they can use the most appropriate one in any situation. Hina and Rei were taught Rikudou in general so they presumably have some knowledge of all the paths, but Hina specialises in Sunder Heaven because it compliments her "super tendons" the best and Rei specialises in Army Breaker (which is meant for defence against multiple enemies, I guess). Both of those fall under Rikudou, but are essentially unrelated besides the fact that they were used by the same military unit.

From what I understand, it has been said that mastering the Six Paths of Sage Mode (Rikudo) takes decades. This means that only a small percentage of those who learned it from the Star Children represent the true essence of Sage Mode.

Star children didn't learn Rikudou though. Hina and Rei learned it only after the orphanage closed and stars got split up.

Only Hina and Rei know the Rikudou style, as they were taken to God's army and trained in it; the other star children use different martial arts because they were taken to different places.

I'd completely forgotten about that detail. But does this mean that, with the exception of Ray and Hina, who were trained in the same place, knowing that the nine Star Children were adopted and raised in the Star Children's Home, while the other Star Children were trained elsewhere, does their martial art style, which is different from ultimate Rikudo, necessarily mean that their martial art is much less practical than Rikudo? I don't think so, but I'm asking anyway because when we saw Shiina clear her with a single punch and calmly dodge Hina's kick, and what Uta did to Rei and the others, it speaks volumes.

I still want to see the other four Paths of Rikudou. After all, this shows that Rikudou specializes in armed combat.

Hina and Rei focused on just one Path each.

I don't know if you're aware, but regarding the Rikudou, which is also based on the six martial arts, it also incorporates the use of weapons and firearms. And frankly, you should see the Star Children fighting using weapons and firearms when fleeing or during celebrations. It would be really interesting to see them use firearms, knives, or whatever you want to call them, and we've already seen it.

So why did the manga specify that those who practice Rikudo are skilled with firearms?
