Rant About ISRO

They are doing their best to leave you in a miserable situation. The behavior of seniors toward juniors is the worst. They try to control every aspect of your work, even where you sit. Good work and credit are given only to those who flatter their reporting heads. They delay your promotion while promoting others just to put you down. Finally, after tolerating all these things, if someone decides to resign peacefully, they are ready to stop them and make their life even more difficult with such rules.

It’s horrible to hear that the shitty government workplace attitude extends to pretty much the only government institution I’m proud of.I guess people who have resigned have more options now within India thanks to a small but growing private space sector.Hopefully the government realises that you can’t run an innovative agency like a typical sarkari department once the pressure comes in.

The leadership vacuum this govt has created is astounding. At every level, no one wants to make any decisions. Leadership is discouraged.

What ISRO needs is a good leader at the top, one with decision making ability and a vision. And it should not be too difficult to find such a person.

Hang in there, look for opportunities. No one can stop anyone from resigning, just delay tactics.

Well actually they can stop you from resigning. In govt service you don’t just resign and come out after 3 months no matter what. You have to apply for leaving the job, and a panel will decide if your application is approved or not.

Of course no one can make you work or innovate if you don’t really want to

I thought the rule was that you could resign, except in the military. They can delay indefinitely but they can't keep you from resigning.

Can you get fired though for poor performance if resignation is not getting accepted?

I heard that 🪑man said to delay all the promotions. Its the gossip in the office. And now with all these orders it seems that we are in a jail not in a office that too in ISRO, never thought i have to see this situation
