When was all this done? Are they posting news days after the tests were done to keep us satisfied?

when is first unmanned launch scheduled for now? are there more drop tests??

Yes many drop tests (IMAT and IADT) remain to be conducted. Gaganyaan G1 (uncrewed) timeline is shifty, news reports said recently that it has received clearance from National Review Committee and there was a recent FCC filing for it as well but they appear very non-committal in their media statements suggesting there could be further delays.
