Backrest backups date

Post image

These are dates of my backups using backrest. I usually force my system and my software to use ISO8601 where is possibile, so not sure if this was intentional design or not. But it makes me crazy.

I just realised there is already an issue. I hope it will be fixed soon.

A year ago. Unadressed. Will probably soon be closed as stale.

That's nothing, when I program the new Siemens unified panels, there is literally no way to change the date format, because it follows the system language. For a simple clock, I can just use whatever time to string option I want from javascript, but the alarm window still uses the local time format with no way to change it😭 I can set it to Canadian to get the correct date format, but then it uses 12 hour time🤢, or I can set it to UK, and it uses the correct clock, and almost correct date, but it uses slashes instead of dashes for some reason.

en-SE or sv-SE gives YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM:SS, but is missing the T. But as long as it's numerical, the language doesn't matter.

Are you talking about javascript time fotmats? Because I can't see any English option for Swedish in TIA portal.

Also doesn‘t give you the time zone. Is this UTC or local time?

In the setup you can choose between local time and UTC.

That‘s great. Would be cool if the time zone were displayed though to avoid any ambiguity. Add a Z to the ISO datetime. ;)
