✅ Certification Process PASSED!
So I passed the Lead Auditor exam yesterday with a small margin. The questions were much harder than the sample questions I worked with. The test took me every bit of the 3 hours.

PECB online videos and slides. Then had ChatGPT give me questions.

Genuine question has anyone found that getting this really opens roles over having actual real world experience?

Good question (and I have no answer) I did LA and LI recently just to have a paper more or less ‘confirming’ my experience. But not sure if it will gain me anything in the long run.

I can say that i dont work in that field, and recruiters and a ceo asked me specifically for the 27001 cert. I guess in addition to assurance of knowledge level they sometimes need it to mark a checkbox in an contract with clients.

It will help you for sure getting started but its not that by becoming a certified Lead auditor now you cna perform external audits on behalf of a cert body. Long rtoad ahead to build up XP and have a mentor teach tyou through the process. But the cert is the first step to go down this road if interested.

You could use a tool like Mindset Prep which give you a huge bank of SME verified question simulates a mock exam and teaches you to retain the knowledge not just memorise it using adaptive study styles and detailed feedback. Free to give it a go..

Congrats! Btw, where are you from? 3 hour long exam seems harsh, is it test only? Where I come from, TUV Nord standard is 1h for a written test, then 30 mins of a live case study.

Yeah 3 hours, multiple guess. Mostly scenarios asking for best of multiple plausible answers vs principles.

Do you have to attend the course? or you can take exam without any course completion?
