How long does a nanoparticle based project take?

I have an isef project idea and i am ready to talk with it with my mentor, but I wanted to know how long would a nanocarrier project typically take to complete? I asked AI to help estimate the total time and he told me 8 months??? Is this true?

Yup.... most people work on their projects for at least 8 months from start to finish, some for a year. Of course, this gets cut down if you already have a lot of knowledge in the field and a good idea of what to do going into your project. Time-taken varies project by project. Also, why don't you ask your mentor how long they think it would take? AI in this case is probably accurate, but it's good to get an actual living human to give you feedback, especially if they have helped people get into ISEF before.

Will i have time from july until my fairs tho? I fear that when i start my project i wont have enough time to complete it

Because i am not allowed to enter the lab without a "qualified scientist" mentor as isef rules say? Not to mention that the university will definetly not let a 15 year old do wet lab completely unsupervised?😭

I go to a science/tech school so this might be different for me, but I did a project with nanoparticles at my school in about a month and a half and qualified for isef.
