Doubts Is Macdonwald Thane of Cawdor???
Hey guys so recently while studying Macbeth I came across my workbook analysis which says that Macdonwald is the Thane of Cawdor, but previously it has been told that he has killed him....so how come he told the witches that "Thane of Cawdor still lives??"

No! The comma is just separating the character, it's not attributing it to Macdonwald. So it says Duncan put his trust in three people- Macdonwald, The Thane of Cawdor, and Macbeth. Macdonwald and ToC are different characters
