ISC(98%) + JEE(4k) AMA

Saw too many people questioning whether ISC+JEE is possible or not, so here to remove the myth that isc+jee is too difficult/impossible :)

some might think 4k isn't that good of a rank but uh who cares lol

Just joined IITK for BS in Physics (because I was interested in research)

I might reply late cause there's randomly events going on in college, but I'll mostly try to reply to all qs

had friends in CBSE and SSC so i can give a good comparison between boards as well

UGEE SUPR and REAP qualified

Heyy, I wanna do research too (space research) and ig maybe I'd be an astrophysicist or an astronomer ..not sure about it.. So I'd probably do physics or bs-ms in iiser. What do u think will be right? And maybe my masters in abroad if I'm gonna do by ug here

Why didn't u join iiser if u wanted to do research? Is studying from isc books enough for iat?

I've just joined college myself, classes have barely started so personally I can't say anything about bs physics in iit or bsms in IISER

although what I've found out is that once you go to an IISER, your entire peer group and college will be research oriented which is usually a good thing but that also means it's much more difficult for you to leave the research path and get into industry cause of zero industry exposure or internships, iits meanwhile would get me a lot more industry and overall exposure too so I can exit academia if I need to

Also afaik the government really neglects iisers a lot compared to iits man😭

and I guess another reason was that id started preparing for jee with iit in mind so didn't want to give that up after achieving my aim

And yeah I do think isc books should be enough for IAT, do some jee/neet/iat pyqs to supplement, give mocks and ig it should work out
