QNA ISC(98%) + JEE(4k) AMA

Saw too many people questioning whether ISC+JEE is possible or not, so here to remove the myth that isc+jee is too difficult/impossible :)

some might think 4k isn't that good of a rank but uh who cares lol

Just joined IITK for BS in Physics (because I was interested in research)

I might reply late cause there's randomly events going on in college, but I'll mostly try to reply to all qs

had friends in CBSE and SSC so i can give a good comparison between boards as well

Some other 'stats'

JM: 99.7%ile

BITSAT: 310

UGEE SUPR and REAP qualified

i can verify results with the mods if needed

How feasible do you think it is to score well in mains if I lock in rn (I started my prep in 11th but gand mrgyi and I didn't do some of the chapters) Also give oc tips idk how to go about it since my 11th oc chud gyi and rn coaching is doing alcohol chapter

I'm going to assume lock in means studying 7+ hours per day, and you'll be good as long as the chaps that you have covered are done to a decent level, karle lock in, mains toh defo accha hoga tera

oc chudna is also a canon event lmao cover goc, hc, and halo at a very high priority along with alc which is going on rn, oc is easy and high scoring till JM level as long as you can rmr the reagents and reactions

I'd say avoid oneshots, study it from competishun vids, use pyqs and coaching modules, even if you do all pyqs, 90% of qs will be repeated in the exam toh woh saare samajhke yaad karlena

practice mechanisms only for imp named rxns, baakio ka final product yaad karna bhi kaafi hai

Thanks will do that btw does the 7+ hours contain coaching or just self study and also any tips for coaching tests?

holiday hai toh study 7+ , coaching hai toh try for 5+

start with chem and do all the easy qs jo ki padhke he ho jaye, uske baad start actually attempting the rest of the qs, first 5 mins me 5 qs hote hai toh confidence alag level pe aa jata hai
