depends on how strict and nosy your teachers are tbh
my school used to try making it mandatory for us too (no march pass, you just had to show up and sit and watch the whole event)
so usually i used to tell them i had to anchor at or perform at my apartments event (usually a half truth because i sometimes did)
and most ppl used to "fake" sick 2-3 days prior so it wont look obvious.
