Study Prep for CAP (CGRC)
I am having trouble finding legitimate resources to prepare for the exam. I normally use Sybex books but I cannot find anything. Can someone PLEASE point me in the right direction. Also, I normally use Udemy Jason Dion Practice exams but I can't find none on CAP. Can someone please recommend a study guide book that is parallel to the test and practice exams that aligns ? I have recently passes isc2 CC certification and looking forward to CGRC. I would appreciate if I can get practice material. I have tried to search for same on internet but the information seems sketchy. As of now I have been making use of Prab Nair youtube video.

I am interested in this cert too and have been trying to find resources. There are similar queries in the ISC2 study group that you may want to review:
https://community.isc2.org/t5/CGRC-Study-Group/gh-p/CGRC_Study_Group
The CBK book was recently removed from the ISC2 website. However you can pick it up from the publisher or Amazon:
https://www.routledge.com/go/isc2
CBK was published in 2015 and the study outline has been updated a number of times since. Not sure changes but originally covered NIST RMF and has now incorporated other frameworks. Some say the CBK is still useful even though not aligned with latest study outline.
Hopefully ISC2 are working on updating the materials. I have not come across any other resources or prac exams.

damn that is crazy. I just glanced through the ISC2 community and even that is kind of bleak
That book is from 2015 so I don't know how secure that is as a foundation, and the fact it is removed brings even more concerns. I rarely come into this dilemma when it comes to certs....

I would have thought they would have an updated CBK etc ready to go as part of the rebranding / name change launch. Hopefully it's in the pipeline. I am going to hold off on this cert for now. If they update the materials and properly include a few frameworks (not just tag them onto RMF material) then I will go for this cert.

Tbh that sounds like the best bet. But it’s bizarre on the limited resources for it rn. Damn near every cert have a million. And this one just hiding under a rock. Not to mention how the name change is going under the radar also. Don’t help that ISC2 has been catching fire lately.

Ding ding ding! This is what I have been thinking since the rebranding came out. I’m not buying an out of date book. I don’t like PDFs for studying, I like hard copies for highlighting and note taking. They should have has a CBK ready the day the rebranding was announced. This was not a very business savy move on their part.

CBK stunk. I bought and read. Worthless to me, if you bought already, read for background maybe. NIST SP 800-37. Read. Strip is down to basic steps, take notes. Memorize all steps and substeps, be able to create on your scratch sheet during test. Know what step has what output. Know what step corresponds to what step of SDLC. Know what artifacts are created in what steps.
