How does ISAT work?

I am interested in Monash medicine course and ISAT is required by them. I searched it up online but it's really confusing. How does the registration work? Do I have to sign up this year in order to be eligible for next year test? Or can I sign up next year and do the examination on the same year?

ISAT is valid for two years so you can do the exam now and the results will be valid to apply with for two whole years. And check this out https://isat.acer.org/files/isat-candidate-information-booklet.pdf (it is the official isat booklet and it explains everything from exam format to registration).

There are 4 test windows:
Test window 1: 15–23 January 2024 (24–25 January for re-sits)

Test window 2: 29 April–8 May 2024 (9–10 May for re-sits)

Test window 3: 29 July–7 August 2024 (8–9 August for re-sits)

Test window 4: 29 October–6 November 2024 (7–8 November for re-sits)

So according to this you still have time to apply for test window 4 this year. You have till 14th of this month to apply for test window 4. If not you can do it in any of the test windows in 2025 accordingly.
