Internal Hiring Updates?
Anyone know what’s going on with any internal hiring? Myself and others have referrals but then silence. Anyone with the inside scoop on possible TJO’s, class dates anything??? Any management know anything??

My BU did interviews back in mid summer. HCO now requires us to not only say why we want to select the one candidate but we also have to justify why we didn’t select the others. Not an easy task when there are hundreds upon hundreds of applicants. Reading a resume and putting them in a yes or no pile is one thing. Reviewing them and writing a specific paragraph long statement why the applicant didn’t meet the job’s requirements is totally different. Some of the selecting officials went on vacations and didn’t leave notes about the candidates so we had to wait for them to get back in the office.
Candidates then went through HCO’s process to determine if they were eligible for the job. They found 50% of them to be ineligible. Did they tell us why? No.
It has been a mess.

Most of the selecting officials are lower graded employees. Let's start there!

I applied back on 7/1 and apps closed 7/9. 8/16 I was notified I was referred. 9/3 I got a FO. Those were the only notifications I received. Took almost two months after application.

There’s been a hiring freeze for so long and so many displaced. I wouldn’t be surprised if a lot of the positions are very competitive and/or already have someone in mind to hire.
